Ukrainian Social Support in Lancashire
What we have done so far :-
- Sent over multiple loads of emergency aid to Ukraine through our volunteer partners using our collection point at Emmazing Gifts on Whalley Road in Accrington.
- Worked with many schools and large businesses to collect donations such as Burnley Football Club, Accrington Stanley Football Club, Protec, Westholme School, Home Bargains, TK Maxx and many more.
- Provided financial aid for travel to the UK for Ukrainian Refugees.
- Provided emergency financial aid to Ukrainians arriving in the UK through the UK schemes that were not eligible for government funding straight away.
- Providing welcome boxes to Ukrainians arriving in the UK.
What we are doing now :-
- We continue to collect and despatch emergency aid to Ukraine through our volunteer partners.
- We continue to despatch more welcome boxes of everyday essentials to newly arriving Ukrainians.
- We have started to raise funds to provide families with items and services to help them settle into their new life here. We will be doing this through the sale of items and also through a Just giving page with the links below. 100% of the profits from the sale of items goes to help Ukrainians.
- We are providing, through Emmazing Gifts retail shop in Accrington a place where Ukrainians can come and collect clothes and essentials such as toiletries free of charge.
