A Few Words from our Patron, Kim Hodgeson
Hello Everyone, My name is Kim Hodgson and I am delighted to be the Patron of the Wishing Well Charity. Like many young people I came from a disadvantaged home and spent some time in a Doctor Barnardos Childrens Home along with my twin sister, Veneta.
I didn’t do well at my studies preferring to muck about with my friends but, when I was 17 years old, I became a nurse in the National Health Service and my life changed from there. The NHS showed me that I could get a job and stick with it and that if I care for others they will care for me...
I had to work very hard to get the qualifications that I could have got at school but didn’t. Eventually, at the age of 32 I finish my main studies and then moved into general management where until recently I was the Chief Executive of a large NHS Hospital Trust based in the South East of England.
We all have it in us to be better than we are now and by helping each other we can all make it to the top!
